Sandbanks, wooded islands, numerous channels, moors and prairies, all constantly changing with the flow of the river, and housing exceptional flora and fauna both threatened and rare, this is the most representative stretch of the Loire which the Loire Valley Nature Reserve has been conserving since 1995.
